Author: May Smith
Title: An Introduction to Industrial Psychology
Description: Book is Very Good grey cloth binding, First Edition, Cassell, London, 1943. A gem of a book from British wartime, which nowadays would be called something like "A Feng Shui Guide for managers in the Workplace" - or "how to increase productivity by seeing to it that everyone gets on in a birghtened up factory". Only trouble is no-one listened then, and we still have hard chairs and fluorescent strip lights. It was a forties fad that in order to make things tick over smoothly, one did "Time and Motion Studies", and some of the book talks about these. Size 12mo keywords: industrial psychology time and motion study

Author: Walter Emanuel
Title: The Dog World and Anti-Cat Review
Description: Book is Good Pictorial Cover binding, First Edition, Frederick A Stokes Co, New York, 1909. A presentable copy of this funny mock-newspaper format booklet. Although the copyright date is 1909, the "newspaper" is dated January 1930. 48pp, cover age-darkened, and had pencil child scribblings on front, which have rubbed off OK. Some unevenness of red colour has resulted, but not to serious. Spine is frayed at bottom inch or so, and internal, properly threadbound signatures have come unglued from the outer stiff card cover. Nothing more serious than 90 year old glue going brittle, and we could restore the binding with PVA, or provide it as is, your choice at no extra charge. Internally clean and sound, apart from more faint (almost rubbed out) child crayon scribbles on insides of covers. Don't be scared off by the child scribbles though, they have come off OK, and it is now a tidy presentable copy, with no more wear than is normal for a soft cover of this age. Size 4to
