Book is Near Fine in Very Good dust jacket. Hard Cover binding, third edition,
Jonathan Cape, London, 1958. An excellent copy of the third printing from 1958, of the 1955 original. Wrapper is the original one that has been with the book from new. Tight fitting and whole, unclipped, with only moderate sunfade of the flames on the spine, and a bit of wear at the spine top, no chips apart from a very tiny one at the top of the front panel, less than 2mm. The edges have half a dozen minor nicks, longest 5mm. Some edge creasing all around, and slight creasing on panels, all minor. Back panel advertises Live and Let Die, Diamonds are Forever, From Russia With Love, Casino Royale and Dr No, the Diamond Smugglers, and is unclipped at 13s. 6d. net. The book is really crisp and clean, free of inscription, copyright page says 'first published April 1955, second impression November 1955, re-issued 1958'. The silver on the spine is bright, the black of the boards nice and black, no fade. We're quibbling to call this less than a fine copy, and the wrapper is easily better than very good.
