Title:
The Twentieth Century Atlas of Popular Astronomy
Description:
Book is VG- Blue cloth binding, third edition,
W. & A. K. Johnston, Limited, Edinburgh, 1922. This is a beautiful book. The blue cloth cover is the fairly plain binding that came with the later editions, but the plates are done with the same precision as in the earlier editions. Particularly, they are bound in such a way that each colour plate can be fully opened, there is no centre fold trapped in the spine beyond view. 134pp and 16 double page full colour plates, though the plates seem to take up half the book! There is some shelf-rubbing and fraying of the spine ends, but the bottom spine has been neatly repaired and re-inforced with matching cloth to make it strong once more. Internally clean and sound, with foxing on end-papers only, the plates are nice and clean and bright.
