Author: Georges Simenon
Title: Maigret stories 14 novels in pairs in a partial set of 7 volumes, Heron Books/Edito-Service edition.
Description: Book is Near Fine imitation leather binding, Heron Books/ Edito-Service, London, 1980. A very lovely partial set of 7 titles by George Simenon, published by Edito Service sometime in the seventies/eighties. There are 9 in the set, so only two are missing. These books are the same as Heron Books in sumptuous imatation blue morocco leather, with elaborate gilt decorations. The covers certainly feel very leathery, and smell nice also. The set is in excellent condition with no wear or dings, pages super clean and books free of ownermarks. The spines show very slight signs of the books having been flexed open, so this set has been read very carefully. The set is not complete, there are two missing. It should be easy enough to complete the set from single volumes offered by other internet sellers. The missing volumes are two double titles, Maigret Sets a Trap/New Lease of Life and Maigret Loses His Temper/The Widower. Our price INCLUDES economy air shipping (21 days) to anywhere on the globe, and that is worth a good few bucks saving to you, as the book set weighs 7 lbs. Size 12mo
